Assistant to School Manager

Veritas Press is a Christian organization dedicated to providing the best classical Christian education materials and services anywhere. We are in need of an Assistant to School Manager to assist with the administration of our online school.
General Description:
This full-time, fully remote position supports the School Manager and school functions, including technology (SIS, LMS, and virtual classrooms).
Responsibilities Include:
- Support the creation and management of teacher contracts, course listings, and student registrations.
- Provide administrative and technical support for the Learning Management System (LMS) and digital classrooms.
- Coordinate with staff to ensure smooth classroom operations and timely resolution of tech-related issues.
- Manage ordering, distribution, and returns of faculty course materials and maintain digital library resources.
- Track and maintain key academic data, including GPA records, KPIs, and scholarship awards.
- Assist with event planning and logistics for college open houses, parent seminars, and year-end gatherings.
- Help monitor and manage Dual Enrollment inquiries, independent study, and specialized course setups.
- Support communication efforts by responding to messages, managing school email, and assisting with background checks.
- Facilitate standardized testing, teacher certification training, and college prep test registration.
- Assist academic advisors with grade reporting and ensure documentation accuracy and compliance.
Job & Educational Requirements Include:
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Conversant with and supportive of the reformed faith and classical Christian education according to the VSA Statement of Faith and Philosophy
- Understanding of VSA curriculum and services
- Understanding of VSA graduation requirements
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to listen well and capture new information when presented
- Moderate mathematical skills and the ability to apply them to practical situations
- Process precision and proficiency in working with data
- Able to work diligently without direct supervision
- Proficient in handling detailed work
- Tech savvy including experience with generic office products such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe, Google Product Suite, etc.; website, graphics, and basic html applications
- Workload efficiency and multitasking capabilities
Physical Demands:
- Standing, walking and sitting for long periods of time
- Speaking and hearing; Reaching and bending; Using hands to perform tasks
- Lifting up to 25 lbs
- Working in standard office conditions with and near electronics; typing, viewing lighted computer monitors
