Description:

We are searching for a part-time HR Clerk. The HR Clerk is responsible for various administrative duties that contribute to the overall employee experience. Depending on the candidate, this role has a flexible schedule averaging between 10-20 hours per week, competitive wages based on experience. 

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Process and manage payroll for our teachers and administrative staff.
  2. Maintain accurate employee records, documentation, and compliance with confidentiality and data protection regulations.
  3. Support managers' recruitment efforts.
  4. Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes.
  5. Assist with benefits administration, enrollment, COBRA, and open enrollment communications.
  6. Handle general HR inquiries to provide employees with information on company policies, procedures, and benefits.
  7. Generate HR reports, track key metrics, and support performance management processes.
  8. Contribute to employee engagement initiatives such as surveys, recognition programs, and HR projects.
  9. Coordinate regular HR communications such as holidays and open enrollment deadlines.

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Being conversant with and supportive of the Reformed Faith and Classical Education from a Christian worldview is preferred.
  2. High school diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years of experience in an HR role or HR certifications desired.
  3. Experience with ADP WorkForce Now platform desired.
  4. Experience with processing payroll.
  5. Able to work diligently without direct supervision.
  6. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while handling a high volume of information.
  7. Skilled with typical MS Office Suite products, Gmail, general computer skills, etc.
  8. Basic understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
  9. General account/bookkeeping experience is helpful.
  10. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

Physical Demands:

  1. Standing, walking and sitting for long periods of time
  2. Extensive typing on QWERTY style keyboard
  3. Extensive viewing of lighted computer monitor
  4. Speaking and Hearing
  5. Reaching and bending
  6. Lifting up to 25 lbs
  7. Using hands to perform tasks
  8. Working in standard office conditions with and near electronics
